Western Tune Up 2024

The ACFO-ACAF Regional Tune Up series is returning to Edmonton on June 25! This event is free for ACFO-ACAF members as part of the Joint Career Development Program, co-managed by ACFO-ACAF and the Office of the Comptroller General.

All attendees of the event will receive a certificate for 5.5 CPD hours

9:00 – Workshop: Focus on the 90% (Darci Lang, author, and speaker)

12:00 – Lunch and updates from ACFO-ACAF (Dany Richard, ACFO-ACAF President)

13:00 – Keynote: The Business Case for Training (Megan Walter, ACFO-ACAF Learning and Development Specialist)

14:00 – Updates from the Office of the Comptroller General (Eric Brière, Financial Management Community Development)

14:45 – Break

15:15 – Panel: Reflections from Senior Leadership (Sundeep Cheema, CFO, PrairiesCan; Danielle Lawlor, Director General, ESDC; and Philippe Thompson, CFO, ISC)

16:15 – Closing remarks

Note: ACFO-ACAF will be hosting a social mixer immediately after the event at The Canadian Icehouse, located at 10332 103 St. NW.

Travel support

As this is a regional event, members who reside in the Western Region but live more than 100 km from the site of the event are eligible for partial travel support in the form of one night’s accommodation, capped at the government rate as per the NJC travel directive.

This travel support is only available once per member per year, so members in Western Canada should also note there will be Tune Up events in Winnipeg on August 29 and in Vancouver on October 3.
